Neighbours helping neighbours in your area
Need someone to put a shelf together, fix something at home or look after your dog for a weekend? With Mutioo you’ll ask a neighbour. Or you’ll lend a hand to someone who lives next door, for money or in exchange for another favour.
Creating an account is free.

Whoever asks pays Mutioo Protection (€0.80). Whoever helps receives the full €8.
Close to you
The payment will be held until it’s done
How it works
Three steps, and the money doesn’t move until the favour is done.
Say what you need
Post the favour: what, where and when. Offer another favour in return, with no money or fee, or put a price on it.
Choose your neighbour
Neighbours in your area offer to help. You look at their profile and reviews, talk in the chat and choose.
Done, and then it’s paid
The money waits, held safely, until you confirm the favour is done; if you don’t reply within 7 days, it’s released automatically. Then you leave each other a review.
Prefer to lend a hand?
Browse the favours in your area, offer on the ones that suit you and agree a time that works for you both. When the favour is done, you receive 100% of the agreed price: whoever helps pays no fee.
What is Mutioo Protection?Trust between neighbours
The money waits, held safely
You pay when the deal is agreed, but your neighbour doesn’t receive the money until you confirm the favour is done. If you don’t reply within 7 days it’s released automatically; if you open an issue, it isn’t released.
Identity verified when the deal is closed
No ID is needed to sign up, browse or offer to help (except for some favours): only when you close a deal that involves money, when you both verify your identity with a document and a selfie. Stripe does the check: Mutioo doesn’t keep your document and only knows whether you are verified. On each profile you can see who is verified.
Reviews after every favour
When a favour ends, you leave each other a review. That way you know who you’re dealing with before you open the door.
We’ll help if something goes wrong

We’re opening city by city
Mutioo was born to keep favours close to home: neighbours, chat and the money held until the favour is done. We’re starting in Baia Mare, Cluj-Napoca and Sibiu (Romania) and in Barcelona (Spain).
We open by city, not by neighbourhood, and we haven’t opened yet or set a date. Sign up and we’ll email you when it opens in your city: that’s how we’ll know where the most people are waiting for it.
New to the area? It will be a way to get to know the people nearby, one favour at a time.
Let me know when it opens in my city
Leave us your email and your city and we’ll write to you when Mutioo opens there. It’s free and you can unsubscribe whenever you like.
Frequently asked questions
What is Mutioo?
A website and an app for asking your neighbours for favours and lending them a hand. You post what you need, neighbours in your area offer, and you choose who to meet.
Is it available yet?
Not yet: we’re starting in Baia Mare, Cluj-Napoca and Sibiu (Romania) and in Barcelona (Spain), city by city and with no fixed date. You can create your account now or join the waiting list to be told when it opens in your city.
Why aren’t you opening across the whole country at once?
A favour only works if there are neighbours nearby to help you. If we opened across the whole country at once, you would ask for help and nobody would answer. That’s why we’re going city by city: when we reach yours, there will be people close by and we can look after you properly if something goes wrong. Signing up helps us decide where we open next.
Does Mutioo work in English?
Mutioo speaks English, Spanish and Romanian: the website and the app will work in all three. Favours are agreed in the chat with your neighbour, so it helps if you share a language.
How much does it cost?
Creating an account and offering to help is free. Mutioo Protection is paid by whoever asks: at most 10% of the price (€0.79 on small favours), and less on favours over €25. You see the exact amount before paying. Whoever helps pays no fee: they receive 100% of the price. Protection covers the secure escrow payment, support and dispute handling if something goes wrong. Swaps with no money carry no fee.
How is the payment protected?
You pay by card when the deal is agreed and the money is held. Your neighbour receives it when you confirm the favour is done; if you don’t reply within 7 days of them letting you know, it’s released automatically (and if you open an issue, it isn’t released).
Do I have to verify my identity?
No ID is needed to sign up, browse favours, post your own or offer to help (except for some favours). It is only asked for when you close a deal that involves money: you both verify your identity with a document and a selfie (Stripe does the check), because whoever posts a favour opens their door to a stranger and whoever offers walks in. The exceptions are sensitive favours and those the poster reserves for verified neighbours: there it is also needed to offer. Mutioo doesn’t keep your document: Stripe handles it and only tells us whether you are verified. On each profile you can see who is verified.
Can I return the favour instead of paying?
Yes. When you post, you choose whether to offer money or a favour in return, and you agree the details in the chat.
What if something goes wrong?
From the favour you can tell us what happened. While we look into it, the money isn’t handed over to the neighbour.
Is there a mobile app?
We’re getting it ready for iPhone and Android, and it will be in the App Store and Google Play soon. In the meantime, you can use Mutioo in your phone’s browser.

Why Mutioo exists
Mutioo was born out of nostalgia: for the days when you knew who to call if you needed a hand. The neighbour who helped you carry a wardrobe upstairs, lent you a ladder or walked your dog if you got home late, without a second thought.
Today we look for a professional for almost everything. And often we don’t need one: what we need is someone nearby with a bit of free time who’s happy to help.
We want to bring back that network of people who help each other, so that asking someone in your area for a favour feels as natural again as knocking on the door next to yours. With protected payments and clear rules for everyone.
