Dog walking and pet care between neighbours
If you work long hours, you’re away for a few days or you simply can’t make it home one day, a neighbour in your area can take your dog out, feed the cat or keep your pet company for a while. On Mutioo you post the favour, nearby neighbours offer to help and you choose who to meet, based on their profile and reviews.

Examples of this kind of favour
- Taking the dog out at lunchtime while you’re at the office.
- Feeding the cat and changing its water over a weekend away.
- Going on a short walk with an older dog that you can no longer take out.
- Taking your pet to the vet when your schedule doesn’t allow it.
- Collecting your dog from the groomer and dropping it back home.
How to ask
When you post, pick the Pets category and say where, when and what your animal needs: size, temperament, whether it pulls on the lead, food and medication. The clearer you are, the better the offers will fit.
Post the favour
Pick the category, say what you need, where and when, and whether you’re offering money or a favour in return.
Choose your neighbour
Neighbours in your area offer to help. You look at their profile and reviews, talk in the chat and choose.
Done, and then it’s paid
The money waits, held safely, until you confirm the favour is done; if you don’t reply within 7 days, it’s released automatically. If you open an issue, it isn’t released.
What to agree on
- How keys are handed over and returned, if needed, and who will be at home.
- How long the walk is, which route, and whether the dog can be off the lead or with other dogs.
- Food, medication and what to do if something happens: your number and the vet’s.
- How you’ll know all is well: a photo or a message in the chat.
What to offer
A rough example: a short walk might come to between €5 and €10, a little more if the walk is long or someone has to call by several times a day. Each neighbour decides what to ask.
This is only a rough example to get the conversation started: each neighbour decides, it’s not a Mutioo rate or a market price, and you two set it. Mutioo Protection is paid by whoever asks: at most 10% of the price (€0.79 on small favours), and less on favours over €25. You see the exact amount before paying. Whoever helps pays no fee: they receive 100% of the price.
Mutioo is an intermediary: it puts neighbours in touch, but it doesn’t do the favours or vouch for anyone’s conduct. The agreement is between whoever asks and whoever helps.
Trust
Pets count as a sensitive favour: only neighbours with a verified identity will be able to offer and, when it’s done, you’ll give them a PIN in person; without it, the favour doesn’t close. That way you know who is coming into your home or taking your animal out. Because the favour is marked as done with that PIN, which is given in person, you need to meet when it’s finished or get the PIN to the neighbour; if you’re away, agree to close it when you’re back.
Frequently asked questions
Who can walk my dog?
Any neighbour in your area with a verified identity, because pets are a sensitive favour. On their profile you’ll see their reviews and the verification badge; who you choose is up to you.
How much does dog walking cost?
You agree the price between you. Mutioo Protection is paid by whoever asks: at most 10% of the price (€0.79 on small favours), and less on favours over €25. You see the exact amount before paying. The neighbour who helps pays no fee: they receive 100% of the price.
What if my dog needs medication or is hard to handle?
Say so in the favour and repeat it in the chat before choosing. A neighbour can say no if they don’t feel comfortable, and it’s better to know that before the walk than halfway through it.
Can I pay with another favour?
Yes. When you post, you choose whether to offer money, a favour in return or both, and you agree the details in the chat.
